Can Claude edit videos?

Claude and BatchEdits: common problems
- Claude doesn't use BatchEdits
- Check the connector is turned on for this chat (the tools menu under the message box), or name it: "use BatchEdits to…".
- Sign-in didn't finish
- Allow the pop-up, then disconnect and click Connect again on claude.ai/directory/batchedits.
- "Not enough credits"
- Each video uses 1 credit (each AI clip 1). Start the free trial or upgrade from your BatchEdits dashboard.
- The video isn't ready yet
- Editing takes about as long as the video itself. Ask Claude to check the status; only "completed" videos are ready.
- A caption word is wrong
- Ask Claude to open the BatchEdits editor on that video, fix the word and download it again.

Which Claude plans can use BatchEdits?
Any Claude plan that can add connectors from the directory. BatchEdits itself needs a BatchEdits account: the 7-day free trial covers your first videos.
Does Claude spend my credits without asking?
No. Each edited video uses 1 BatchEdits credit (1 per AI clip), and Claude is instructed to confirm with you before processing anything. Nothing in your workspace is ever deleted.
Can I change the caption style from Claude?
Yes. Tell Claude what you want, such as yellow captions in the center, and it creates a style or updates the one you name. Every video edited with that style gets the same look.
What about Claude Code?
Claude Code runs the BatchEdits CLI instead, so it can edit a whole folder on your computer and save the results next to it. See the Claude Code page for the setup.
